I used to feed them from 2 separate bowls because Abbie used to INHALE all of her food and water when we first got her and Max had always been a slow eater. I wanted to make sure that Max was getting his share of food and water. After about a year, Abbie must have realized that she did not have to inhale all of her food to get her portion for the day and she all of a sudden stopped. I tried to continue to use 2 separate bowls but they just ate and drank from each other's bowls. They now both share the food and water. I leave them both down so they can eat and drink whenever they need to. There is never an empty bowl. I refill the water after they drink all of it and most of the time there is a bit of food left at the end of the night. They both seem happy to share
