Film unless you use a digital camera. I can offer a little advise.
As hard as it is don't take the puppy around everywhere showing him/her off. This is hard I know, but give him/her time to adjust. And remember when training that puppies have short memories. And they like small but adequate spaces to sleep like a crate or cage.
Have you picked out a name yet? Is it a boy or girl?
