Hi Cathy,
Welcome to YorkieTalk. It takes a while before the ears stand up on their own. If the puppy is only 6 weeks it is still very young. Also There is still a lot of learning that the pup should get from it's parents and litter mates and it's best that he/she stays with them to get it. I also live in Redford, MI, but will be relocating to Illinois next month. But here to stay at YT. Congrats on your new baby!
