I use it when I walk my other 2 dogs. You explained it perfect. It is great bc the leash dosent get tangled up(since you only have one leash) and the dogs are not racing aganst each other since they have to walk with each other. My only complaint about it is(for big dogs since taj is 65lb and bailey is now 50lb) you need all your arm muscles to keep them from pulling you...other wises your feet wont touch the ground with my 2 dogs
