Even though blood in the stool isn't a good thing - it is something that happens occasionally with dogs (and with people too).

I have had this happen occasionally with all my dogs - and have watched them closely for a day or two, and it has always gone away. If they had continued to have stools with blood, I would have taken them to the vet.

Dogs aren't supposed to have hemorrhoids, but they can have a tempory problem from something they have eaten that has irritated or scratched their colon or rectum as it passed through.

Definitely something you need to keep a close eye on. Because - if it should continue, you do need to visit the vet.

Glad your little dog is better and has no serious problems.
