I think she also needs to be on a quality puppy food, Merricks, Nutro Ultra - look for one that doesn't contain meat by-products and corn - skip the grocery store and go to a petstore. Yorkies eat so little you can afford to feed the best.

Canned pumpkin (without the spices added) works wonders for constipation. If your looking at suggested feeding on an adult bag it won't be accurate for a puppy (they need more). My bag of Nutro Ultra says 1/2 cup to 1 cup for a puppy 10 weeks of age, 3 pounds.

I'm sorry you had such an expensive vet bill over a little problem, but start giving her a teaspoon of canned pumpkin with her meals and the problem won't reappear. I also don't like giving canned and would just moisten the dry.
