Animal Smiley 049 My dog weighed 3 lbs at 12 weeks

My yorkie weighed 3 lbs at 12 weeks. When I bought him the breeder said he prob wouldn't go over 4 lbs. I saw both parents and they were small a 4 lb and a 5.5 lb. My Charlie is now 7 mos. and he is 5 lbs and hasnt' grown in the last month, I'm thinking he prob wont, even though he is 5 lbs. he really doesn't look like he weighs that much he is small and compact and I don't think I would have a prob traveling with him. You may want to hold off of the second one as you may still be able to travel with this one, and to travel with 2 would be much harder. According to the chart mine should go to 6 lbs or better but I know these little ones sometimes do stop growing at 6 or 7 mos. My teacup poodle is 3 lbs and quit growing at 6 mos. One just never knows. Just llove your baby and don't worry so much about the size. It is important they are healthy and love us as we love them. I have a 7 lb poodle that was suppose to be 3 lbs. I love him anyway and wouldn't dream of parting with him.

Wish you only the best
