if you have carpet, you need to have something sprayed or have some professional come out and clean the carpets specfically for fleas.
i have had my little giel almost 4 years and i have moved each year. (happily staying here for a long time) anyways the first year was at a house with no carpet, little girl never had a flea, never even used flea control. the apartment.. i couldnt get rid of the fleas, it was horrible, little girl was covered in fleas all the time, i would get a steam cleaner for the carpet, give her frontline, spray the apartment, and bleach everything but nothing worked, i moved to a house that had carpet, i had to keep her on frontline but never had a real problem, this house and the last were all hardwood and i never got fleas, but they do get a lot of baths.
