once you get them they are hard to get rid of. mine had them the begining of summer for the first time. we now use frontline plus. what I did was to shampoo then and rinse with vinegar. I swept the floor and sofa(be sure to get all the cracks and crevices). and wash everything. I did this every day. wasn't long before they were all gone. if they are so thick on your yorkie they are all over the house too. I also made a mixture of water and vinegar in a spray bottle and went all over the house with it. then sweep again.
