Exclamation help, should I sedate??

The fourth of July is coming up which brings up this question. Should I sedate my babies for the fireworks?? We live very close to where the fireworks are, we can even watch the fireworks from our house. So you can imagine how loud it going to be. They get freaked out really bad with loud noises as it is and it sounds like they are shooting off the fireworks at our house, that is how bad the noise is which compared to the loud noises they have heard is probably 4 times louder with the fireworks. I am afraid they might get frantic and try to get out of their pen and possibly hurt themselves and just go crazy or go into shock or something. My cocker even runs and hides and shakes the whole time and she is not even sensitive to loud noises. I was thinking of giving them this calming medicine I found at the pet store, it is all natural so it is not harmful and it says it would be good for situations like this. What do you guys think??
