 The good and bad mommy..
I've read a lot of threads over the last few months that talk about females who just don't bond with their pups. The pups are nursed and cared for by other females (not their moms). Why does this happen? Why are some females more caring or nurturing than others? Is this genetic? Is it reversable? Say if the mom doesn't want anything to do with the pups, can she build that love for them over time? I'm not a breeder, nor do I plan to be but I was just curious, especially after reading Wnalegria post about fostering mom. |
