Nope, it is caused by a drop in blood sugar. The smaller the puppy the more supseptible they are. It can be from not eating enough, skipping a meal, burning too many calories, to throwing up and losing those calories.
My yokires are now 3 and 4 years, have had a bout in almost a year but all it can take is diarrhea or skipping a meal and we have trouble.
They basically do not have the resrve that a larger dog would have. |
