Welcome to YT! I am sorry to hear about Daizy's knee.

It is definately called luxating patella, which is common among yorkies. My parents' yorkie is 7 years old and has luxating patella. The vet told my parents that KoKo needed surgery, but it was SO expensive and KoKo would SO be miserable (they have to be confined for 6 weeks and stay overnight at the vet for several nights) that my parents have decided against having the surgery. I am not sure what grade KoKo's problem is, but her knees have honestly never seemed to hurt her. That is another reason why my parents arent considering surgery at this point. If I were you, I would wait until Daizy starts showing visible signs that her knees are hurting her, and then I would get a second opinion before deciding on any surgery. If it does come to the point of her having surgery, I am sure everything will turn out fine. There are several people on here whose yorkies have had this surgery.
Please keep us updated on how Daizy is doing and let us know what you decide to do.
