the ones with the least genetic defects seem to be the rarer breeds and i wonder if that's only because not enough is known about them. Also alot of the 'genetic defects' listed for each breed aren't specific to a breed. I was looking at the first couple of things for yorkies and all those things about the eye lids ANY dog can get. pure bred, mutt, whatever. i've seen plenty of dogs with those things.
