Beaches in NY don't "open" until May 29th or something, so until then, you can do whatever you want there. When they "open," you have to pay to get on if you go between like 6 am and 6 pm. After 6 pm, it's free again. Archie went to Long Beach, on the south shore of Long Island.
You can't have dogs on the beach during open season, but other times, there's really no one who is going to monitor the beaches. Plus, it depends on where you go. Big, huge, public beaches like Jones Beach might care, but Long Beach is like a little community so most people there have dogs anyway. |
