Could she have any bladder issues from the c-sections. I know that might sound silly. But in humans you can sometimes be left with bladder issues from pregnancies and c-sections. The muscles are weakened and thus kegal exercise are recommended. I was wonder if her heavy breeding and the c-sections could be a part of her potty problems. Odds are she was probably bred every heat since she was deemed old enough to carry a litter.

Just what I was about to say. Please take your time with this one, she might still be very fragile, hence the hiding in the closet. Some love and attention might heal a little of the pain that was left. Encouragement when she does go potty outside, or in the place you want her to, will do wonders.
Kudos to you for saving this poor pup, I'm sure she's a lot happier with you then at her old home.
