You have established that she was kept in a small pen, how sad, but that may have a lot to do with her potty problems. You will have to start all over with training, that will not be easy. If she has been with the same person the whole time, it will take a while for her to warm up to you, she is lost right now. She won't completely avoid you for you are caring for her, but you will have to let her come on her terms, she will warm up faster and closer to the person who takes care of her.
