After a few days Timmy didn't eat and wasn't drinking water and he was losing weight. I called my vet and they said to give him white rice and gave me an appointment for the following day because they couldn't see him that same day. I just thank god the motherly instincts in me told me to call another vet and so I did. If he hadn't been seen and put on IV's right away he could have passed away because he had no energy left in him. As soon as he got the IV in him he was a different baby. Just keep an eye on your baby...they are so small. |
I'm sorry about what you and Timmy went through, but it's great you followed your instincts and everything is fine now. Angel doesn't always eat readily but does eat and drink water. She hasn't lost weight. In fact, TCC thinks she has gained weight. She has a lot of energy so that's not a problem. Yes, they're small. Her weight on June 12 was 2 lb. 7 oz., and she's supposed to be 3.5 lb. full grown according to the breeders.
