You believe in your book and I believe in mine. It does not make me stupid. All dogs come from the wolf originally and are direct descendants of them although there were different wolves from different part of the world. Again , this is an hypothesis and not a certainty.
The maltese has believed to have been crossed in the XVI century to create the Skye Terrier. So you see that there is a possibility that they are in the lineage although your Ms Gordon does not believe it to be.
Anyways, its beyond me that I am being called stupid by you for not believing your Ms. Gordon. I have not read her book and may attempt to do so.
