I'm sorry to hear about your breakup
but you do whatever is best for you to be happy, I understand. This whole past week I've been living in my parents' extra room b/c of "issues" with my husband (grrr, men!!!!) Sully has been with me the whole time and has really done well. And he's been such a comfort to me as Smudger will definitely be to you!
I don't know much about having 2 dogs in the house (but I'd love to get another, haha) but I'd just say keep them apart during unsupervised time until they really get to know each other. Good luck with your transition! PM me if you need to talk!
