This is true and I for one don't judge people because you are absolutely right., But if I'm not mistaken, I believe the OP stated from the beginning that she has NO NEED for a service/therapy animal, she just wanted to be able to take the dog everywhere. I think the dishonesty of the situation is what got people up in arms.
