Yes, you obvioulsy don't know who Joan Gordon is or you wouldn't question her prestige or authority. I am not making her out to be anything that she isn't. Most breeders that breed for standard refer to her book as the breeder's Bible.

I am not saying that you or any other companion yorkie owner would or should know any of this which is what I said in my original post. I WOULD expect the breeder that posted to know the ancestry of the breed they are breeding.
I give up. You haven't understood after three paragraphs and I doubt you ever will.
I am completely calm and nowhere near being upset or angry. It's an internet forum for crying out loud. What I cannot understand is.. why is it so hard for YOU to understand the fact that I was trying to LEARN SOMETHING. I posted those Google excerpts, and again.. I love Google, to show people that there was a deviation in history from what you had posted and from what someone else has posted! Is it wrong of me to try and help myself figure out what was wrong and what was right in the history of my dog?

I don't get it.

I question everything I do not understand, and up until this point on this forum.. everyone has answered every question with an open heart and an appreciation for me because I still am trying to learn. How can I wait to gather all my correct facts until I post if I am confused on what the facts are?? As I'm sure some if not all agree, you have no right to dictate when I can or cannot post. Just because I do not know specifically all these so-called facts does not mean I don't have the right to post and ask questions.

And for the bookstore not being opened, you mocked me for using the Google search and internet excerpts. The point is, there are no bookstores open this late for me to go and have time to find a good book to read. Google is the only option I have as to find anything to read about the breed.

That is completely your opinion. Others with opposing opinions might think otherwise. I am sure theres alot of misinformation out there. Before you get on a 20-year old non-breeding girl posting excerpts on this thread trying to learn something, why don't you try to tackle those internet sites and publishing companies people get their information from?

The more I talk about it and think on it, the more I learn.
Since the breed history is so questionable by many, many, MANY sources.. how can someone be so certain of originality if no breeder born in the 19th century is still alive to prove otherwise? I'm sure there are facts out there that prove there are and are not Maltese in the bloodline. Before I say any further, I better educate myself as well as you make yourself seem to be. It seems like you look down on those who aren't.

As for the standards of AKC as you have kindly bolded for me to see, I just won't go there. From my own beliefs, I can write a novel on that and I already know my opinions are opposed to yours so I will not even touch it.
