Since it's already been a month, I would assume the swelling would have gone down and there would be no evidence of invasion at that area. I would call your vet ASAP. I mean to be sore and tender around an area of injection for a couple days after is one thing, but a whole month is another thing. But then again this is just what I've learned about humans, lol. I would definitly call they vet to double check.
