I wash Sissy in the kitchen sink and also use the sprayer to wet and rinse her. She doesn't like the water on her face, but with the sprayer you can direct the flow and it makes it faster and easier on both of you. I use the liquid ear cleaner on her too. She doesn't much like that either, but you just squirt it in the ear and rub a little. After her bath is done, I squeeze as much water as possible off her with my hands before I start drying her with the towel. She doesn't mind the blow dryer too much.
As far as brushing goes, I don't use a brush, but rather a small metal comb. Sissy is not very big and the comb works well for her face, too. She doesn't like to have her face combed, so I hold her head still. At first, she would wriggle a lot and I actually did poke her in the eye once or twice. She still doesn't like it, but will hold really still when I'm near her eyes. I also say comforting words to her while I'm combing.
Keep at it - you'll both eventually get the hang of it.
