I usually only take one of the dogs with me to run errands unless I am going to Petsmart. They all love that outing. I try to take turns with them but usually end up taking my chihuahua the most because she is 4 and is so calm and well behaved. Plus, she loves being packed around. The other two are still puppies and prefer to stay home and rough house. It's really not that much fun for a puppy to be confined to a car seat and then be carted around a store. I do like to take the other two occasionally just to develop their social skills. They will bark and cry a little when they realize they are being left home but in the long run, I'm sure that they have more fun at home with each other. I don't think it is mean at all to leave 2 at home. I just try not to run errands very often during the week as I work full time and know that they all need my attention in the evenings after being home alone all day.
