Well, I did not care how much Mia cost because I thought, "I am paying for an animal I will share the next 10+ years with. This is not something to be stingy about." We still didn't pay much for her, about 900. She was the first girl we saw, and I really wanted a baby girl. We kept talking about her when we were driving from one breeder to another. That's how we decided. Then I went crazy on the insurance, supplies, training books and whatnot. Including the vet bills I would say we spent at least another 1000, which I felt free to spend since Mia could have cost a lot more. Including everything I spent on her, the whole experience still seems like a bargain because the other Yorkies we inquired about were priced up to 5000.
