I don't know if it is harmful to them or not.. i doubt it since there are lots of shampoos you there using tea tree. the advertising says it is healing to the skin. a good insect repellant. I have ordered some from petsilk.

I treat my yard and I also treat the neighbor behind me once in a while. (lol).
I spray it with the misquito spray from Ortho. it says it last up to 3 weeks. and it does a pretty good job of it. fleas, ticks, misquito, etc.
but... my group never wants to go potty in our yard.
