This might sound slightly nutty
, but before I got my new puppy, I gathered together a blanket and a few little soft "lovies" that would go in her crate....and I slept with them, several times.
Just, really got my scent all over them.
And I don't know if that helped, but my puppy NEVER had a problem being crated, even though she never had been before.
