I agree with Carol Jean -

It seems to me that Yorkies tend to be 'one owner dogs' - that is they share a closer bond and have a special affinity to one particular owner, just like - I am super close with my mom, but I don't love my dad any less.

In all of my experiences with dogs, I've always found that dogs appear more attached and even more obedient to the ones they spend more time with, the one who feeds them, gives them treats, and the one who TRAINS them (teaches them basic commands, etc.).

I wouldn't worry too much about who your puppy is following around - just keep concentrating on keeping him happy and healthy.
