Your vet will wait until she is out of heat to spay her (3 weeks). Just don't let her come in contact with any males. She is not in any pain whatsoever. I would go ahead and wait until about 9 months like your vet suggested so you can remove any baby teeth that haven't properly fallen out. I would also suggest you have the blood work done to show if there will be any problems with the anesthesia. Make sure your vet doesn't give a preanesthesia barbituate and uses a safe anesthesia for small dogs like isoflurane. |
