If it's stupid and selfish, then nearly every owner of a Yorkie is stupid and selfish. After we have them for a while, we love them for the personality they show. But when we get them in the first place (except for a few really wonderful people that rescue distressed Yorkies without giving a thought to size, health or emotional problems) we get Yorkies because they're little and they're adorable. Someone that wants a lap dog isn't going to get a lab - although I know a few labs that think they're lap dogs

. Then it just comes down to your own feelings about how big a dog can be and still be a lap dog.
