My fiance' has his credit card stolen and after I did some detective work we found out it was HIS BROTHER!!!! We called the credit card company and they said they would look into and we got a call back from them saying they couldn't verify that it was stolen and we were obligated to pay the money
I understand your frustration, and I am sorry that you are going through this. By the way his Mom didn't believe his brother did it and the police couldn't gather any proof that it was him. Although we figured it out because he got Tony's (fiance') social security number and called from our house to activate it. Luckily your cc company isn't idiots and will not hold you liable for the money.
P.S. it was a $1,000 that his brother charged up at WALMART, he took the products and sold them for drugs. What a mess that whole situation was.
