Has this happened to any of you or anyone you know? Other than the credit card company, expedia, and the hotel is there anyone else we should contact??
Thanks for listening to me vent!! |

I can relate, something similar happened to me a few months ago. I received a call from Amex to verify a charge. They wouldnt give me too much detail and this pissed me off to no end. All they gave me was the companies name, so I took it upon myself to do my own investigation and called the company which was trying to charge my card and found out that someone in INDIA was purchasing $900 worth of software using my cc #. I called Amex back with the proof and details of what had happened & they told me that this is happening a lot, people are buying credit card numbers and using them in this type of manor. They closed out that account number and reissued a new one.
It is very scarey, that our info just floats out there and people get it and use it! I think you covered all the grounds of the people to contact! You should not be held accountable for these charges, the cc company should take care of it. Good luck
