Yikes, I just posted a rather long reply, ENCOURAGING you to stick with the crate and hang in there. . . but somehow it didn't take. I was told to log in (which I had already done) and then that the thread was invalid.
Anyway, stick to your guns, leave the room, go outside, take a deep breath, and wait til she's calm before getting her out. Everytime she gets out when she's crying, that behavior is being reinforced.
