APRI announces the founding of American Pet Records

America's Pet Registry, Inc. has yielded to the requests of numerous breeders and pet owners to establish a registry service that can accept dogs with known parents but those that do not have documented pedigrees at this time.

Until now, APRI has been unable to register many dogs from other registry services that do not have documented pedigrees. With the establishment of American Pet Records the same great APRI service is available to those who have begged APRI to accept their dogs for dual registration.

The American Pet Records dogs will not be entered into the APRI database but will be recorded separately. An American Pet Records dog may be mated with an APRI dog; however, the litter will be issued as American Pet Records. Litter pedigrees will not be offered on these litters, nor will pedigrees on the American Pet Records dogs be available at this time.

Litter registration fees will be same as with APRI.

The normal registration fee with American Pet Records is $20.00, but registered breeders will be charged only $10.00 for registration. Breeders may register with either APRI or American Pet Records

There is also an American Purebred Registry:
American Purebred Registry was created years ago to help overcome problems with lost registration papers whatever the reason. We start a pedigree file with the information the owner sends us. We do not have access to information from other kennel clubs, societies, registries or agencies. All the information must be provided by the owner of the dog or cat. Once an application is received and accepted by our office, all offspring of that animal are subject to registration by us, provided the animal was bred to a registered animal of the same breed. A photocopy of the registration of any animal not registered by us is required for the offspring to be registered. APR does not register crossbreeds.
