First of all welcome. What a great person you are to take in this little one. I would just be patient with both dogs and keep an eye on them it will take a little while for everyone to get use to each other. How old are your dogs?
Do you know if he was abused in anyway? Just make sure that you try and show both dogs equal amount of attention and once they realize that neither of them are going anywhere they may become the best of friends.
