I'm really not an expert with this breed (although I'm trying to gather as much information as I can because I LOVE yorkies), but I do know that there's no such thing as a "teacup" yorkie. Yorkies that are extremely tiny are usually runts or they were bred with extremely tiny yorkies, which IS NOT healthy. So to answer your question, smaller yorkies (IMO) do have more health issues. TeeJay is a little over 4 pounds and I'd wish he'd gain a little more weight, although he fits the weight for a standard yorkie.
