I'm sorry you had to go through that... Who was the breeder? Are they aware of the pup's condition? Have you asked for any money back or a replacement pup?
A lot of time people will do whatever it takes to produce these so called "teacup" dogs and quite often the health of the pup suffers for it. Some "breeders" are only out to make money and don't care who or what suffers along the way.
Not all small dogs are unhealthy though. Pixie tips the scales at about 3.5 lbs and we haven't had a single health problem yet (she'll be 1 next month). There's plenty of YT members with healthy dogs under 4 lbs. You just need to find a good, reputable breeder that strives to produce happy, healthy dogs, who will stand behind their puppies 100%. If you decide to get another pup, take a look at the quality and health of the dog first, and let size come second... |
