It's a possibility that he's been abused by an ex...especially if she's so crazy about her dog. Some men get very jealous of the relationship with a woman and her dog (There was a story a while ago on YT about a woman who thought her BF was hitting her Yorkie. He was!!!). Or visa versa (man and dog). Before I had a Yorkie, I thought people who were in LOVE with their dogs were crazy! LOL Now that I have Baby, I'm sure people think I'm crazy!
And trust me, I can totally understand that you don't want to drive back and forth a million times a day for a dog that doesn't like you. But maybe try spending more time with him. Or ask the vet for some Doggy Xanax to get him to calm down! LOL
