i second james patterson. I love his new series Maxium Ride. there are two books so far. some other good books i've recently read are any of the Gregory Maguire books except Lost (author of Wicked), The Alphabet Sisters by Monica McInnerney, and My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I have SO many books its ridiculous, i can't throw them out.
