Hobbs is now 8 months old and good about letting me brush him, but he sure did hate it when he was younger! He never got matted, but we always keep the hair on his belly and "privates" really short bc otherwise pee drips off. Eww!
Be persistent about brushing him. He will get used to it and it will pay off in the long run.
