When they were pups and not use to the whole grooming, daily brushing routine, did you ever trim/shave their bellys? Choco was matted from not letting me brush it fully along with peeing on it! Yes I trimmed the "whick" to help with that problem. I just took some scissors to his belly and trimmed it down as much as I could. I had to give him a baby kong w/some p'nut butter in it to get to stay on his back.........which might be an everyday thing so I can brush his tummy. He just attacks the brush and comb after a few strokes, so grooming him is a 2 man job around here.
