Neither my wife nor I would have ever thought that we would say something like this about a dog - BUT we are both eagerly looking forward to the day when we're confident enough of Bailey's potty training to let her sleep on our bed.

We've been afraid that Bailey would potty on the bed without either of us waking up, or we would have already had her sleeping on the bed. I think we have good reason to be concerned. I'm by nature a pretty early riser. Usually, I'm up with Bailey for quite a while before my wife wakes up. When I hear Kathie stirring around, I'll take Bailey in to play around on the bed with Kathie for a while. Twice, she has abruptly stopped to pee on the bed. Actually three times - twice she managed to do it, and once I grabbed her in time and got her outside. All of these times, Bailey had been outside and had peed less than an hour earlier. Anyway, our concern is that Bailey won't do anything to wake us - that she'll just do what she needs to do and be done with it. So I come to my question - have you done anything in particular to teach your babies to alert you when they need to go out at night?
