I would keep socializing her under supervision with the others that you have and give your full attention to this so that IF a problem arises it can be corrected immediately.
I would probably wait until her next heat if you are planning to breed her. Give her a chance to fit in to her new surroundings and so she'll feel safe and secure first. I mean you have two litters now, so please don't rush her. Two weeks in a new home, with strange dogs and puppies is not really a very long time. Please be patient with her. |
I think I expected everything to go along just fine when I brought her in and there were no problems between her and any of the other dogs. She did show some possessiveness over me and my husband but I thot that was because she had been moved from a loving home to a home where she was kept in a kennel and then moved again to live with us. I thot how confused she must be, not knowing what was going to happen next. I wanted this to be her last home, I hate the thot that she might have to move again. It was a 12 hour driving trip after we picked her up and I think she bonded with us quickly during that time. The other mom just ignors her but neither of her babies has been bitten. It was just luck, I have all the babies together in the same pen. Autumn the first mom has already weened her babies and Lady the second mom is still nursing all of them. Autumn goes into the pen and cleans the babies but she has no milk left. Sylvia
