Kristi, You have only been open a month and therefore cannot gauge if it will work or on based on that first month. Most businesses take 5 years before they see some profit. As you increase sales, so does your inventory, so technically there really is no money coming in until you have been in business for a while . . .
To keep your cost to a minium, you can shut down your website (since you are paying a monthly fee) but still continue to offer your services and talent to fellow YT members via postings. Don't maintain a huge inventory of items that you don't personally make so that investment is at a minimum. With constant advertising through pictures, people here at YT will continue to know you are in business . . .
You also have to understand that being summer, a lot of people are travelling and don't have time to be glued to the site.
I hope that you and Annabelle will reconsicer your decision and continue on . . . at least give it a shot until end of the year.
