Yes Shadow,
The Mother wanted it as a present for her Son who was 9 going to be 10 when they got back to New York. I know what you're thinking that I should have never sold the puppy as a gift for a child anyway, and you are 100% right! I just thought that the mother would ultimately be taking care of the dog and they all fell in Love with him. Turns out they sent him back to the Brother in Chicago anyway, where he's probably much better off. I know that the lady was going through hard times (divorce) and had to sell her house and move into an apartment where she couldn't have pets. I guess that could happen to anyone. I suppose I should be happy that she loved the puppy enough to send him home to her brother, but what an ordeal for little Yorkchi. I will never sell a puppy again as a gift especially if it's for a child.
I think if people are buying one as a gift they probably lack the commitment it takes to raise a puppy and keep them as a family member. That the purchase was made on impulse.
