Thank you for your kind words. It's so true I am very passionate about my furbabies. Almost as passionate as I am about my 4 Children and my grandchildren. If I don't feel right about a person they don't get one of my Puppies. I learned this the hard way though, with my first litter, and my first born Puppy. Here's the story....a lady called me on Christmas Day and said she wanted a puppy right then that she was from New York and in Chicago visiting her brother! We were just about to sit down for supper that my two daughters and I had spent all day preparing. So I stalled her and told her to come in 2 hours. Well she showed up 45 minutes later and said she had to come now because the puppy was a Birthday Present (not a CHRISTMAS PRESENT) for her 9 yr old son and he was very excited. So even though we still had supper on the table and that is usually were I conduct my business I really didn't have much of a choice when she's standing at my door on a snowy Christmas Day.
So anyway the lady, her brother, and 3 kids interrupt my Christmas when
I already have a house full of people. The kids all storm in with wet snowy boots on all over my freshly done hard wood floors that I had done for my big Party! When I had instructed my own grandchildren to take theirs off! So Then she wants to write me a check from a New York Bank even though
I told her on the phone that I don't take personal checks. So she sends her brother out to the cash station on this snowy night which at the time the only one around was about 3 miles down the road. He comes back with $500.00 dollars and said that's all he could get (which I'm sure it was).
and asked if I would take that? I said, NO WAY ! Come back tomorrow!
She said she couldn't that they were leaving at 5:00 a.m. Miraculously they come up with $200.00 more and I looked at the little boy holding the puppy SO CUTE ! and said FINE! although I was asking $1000.00 for this puppy I got $700.00 just to get them the heck out of my house so I could enjoy what was left of My Christmas with my family. My daughters were quit upset! saying, " who the heck do they think they are coming here on Christmas and wrecking our day, Now our own kids are tired and they haven't even opened their presents yet! " I tried to give them the old, " It's Christmas, be nice ", but they weren't buying it saying " those people don't even celebrate Christmas, they looked like Muslims or something! "
At that point I'm like, " Whatever ".
So to make a long story even longer. I get a call from the brother a year later asking me if I wanted the dog back? He said the dogs name was YORKCHI ( yorkie + chicago). He said his sister in New York couldn't keep the dog anymore, so it was back in Illinois with him. I told him that I would take Yorkchi back and find him a good home. He said No he wanted to sell him back to me for half price. I really couldn't afford it at the time so I told him
I would help him sell Yorkchi. I found 2 of my very good friends that wanted Yorkchi and let him know about them. By then he said he decided to keep him and I haven't heard from the man since. I often wonder how my first born puppy is doing and if he is safe. Hind sight being 20/20 I should have just scraped up the $350.00 and got my little furbaby back. Sometimes I think I shouldn't breed because I am so passionate and want to still keep in touch with the families and get pics of their babies as they grow up, and maybe see them once or twice if possible. Oh well, maybe I'll try emailing this man again, one more time to see how little Yorchi is doing ? Thanks for listening, Key2Yorkies~ Jan

Wow...sorry that happened to you. Hopefully the baby's doing good. Sounds like these people knew nothing about dogs to begin with
