Buy a really good shampoo and conditioner - conditioner makes a world of difference to your dogs skin/coat. I use Petsilk moisturizing shampoo and conditioner - smells lovely and makes Oscars coat super silky!
My breeder suggested a finger toothbrush when I got Oscar, but I find it is just too big for his little mouth. He makes a big fuss when I try to brush his teeth so we are working up to the toothbrushing. I bought a toddler's toothbrush because it has a tiny head and softer bristles and I put beef flavored toothpaste deep into the bristles and hold it while he chews away at it - while he's doing that I try to brush as much as I can and wiggle it around.
