She also barks after she poos, so it's hard to tell whether she's just acting up or because she pooed. I'll have to check in on her to make sure it's not poo. She has giardia so I want to clean it up right away and wash her bum w/ shampoo so she doesn't get reinfected by possibly eating it. As far as I can tell, she hasn't eaten it.
I would suggest ear plugs for everyone. Also, I think yelling would harm the process, instead of helping. She is afraid to be alone already, and yelling would make her afraid to be with you too. I think. I know your frustration and sleeplessness, and its just terrible. I have decided never to have kids because of Mia. I spent 3 grumpy days due to sleepless nights and I just had to let Mia sleep on the bed so she would just shut up.
We have the same problem, plus paper thin walls, and sensitive neighbors. So, we just spend all our time with Mia. But, then again, we can spend all of our time with her right now. She doesn't bark unless she needs to-- like getting on&off the couch. I am assuming that once she is comfortable in her environment she will be better about not barking when alone. Hopefully in a month or so? I don't know though.
I wish you a lot of patience and luck.
