 confused on crate training
my question is, do I put my new pup in the crate at night when I have'nt gotten her trained to go into her crate yet. I know I am suposed to train her to want to go into her crate, never force her. throw treats into crate and fav. tys into crate, encourage her to explore crate. then when shes used to going in and out of crate, close door for a minute, and increase time slowly as days pass,until she is happy to go in crate. But Ive also read that I should put pup in crate at night in my room, and take her potty a couple of times during night at first. Anyway, Im confused by hearing these two different ways. If I wait till shes kennel trained before i get her to sleep in crate at night, then where does she sleep in the mean time. please help |
